We ONLY sell Hoshizaki Ice Machines Because we don't think there's anything on the market that can challenge them for consistency, reliability, longevity - and ultimately VALUE FOR MONEY.
All too often we're called in to replace cheap brands that have only lasted 2 or 3 years, have cost a fortune in call outs and down time, and have lead to the owner being told by friends that he 'should have bought a Hoshizaki in the first place.....'

We make buying a Hoshizaki Ice Machine easy Because we know that you need straight answers - we give them. We always discuss delivery times with customers before they order, because we know how frustrating it is when someone accepts your order (and payment) without having first checked availability and lead time.

Hoshizaki ice types explained Cube Ice
The standard Ice cube size within the Hoshizaki IM range is Large - but what is Large??
Large cubes are 28*28*32mm
Med/Large cubes are 28*28*23mm
Medium cubes are 25*25*23mm
Small cubes are 21*21*14mm
The large and M/L are generally preferred by buyers - and, where available, are a no cost option. All other sizes do attract a slight premium, dependant on machine type.
Crescent Ice
Hoshizaki crescent ice is roughly speaking half of a barrel shape, cut length-wise. The result is a flat face of 38*30mm and a curved back which is 16mm deep at the centre.
Flaked and Nugget Ice
These options are available on most of the Hoshizaki FM range of machines. The nugget is like a broken bit of a polo mint and comes in at 15*12*9mm. The flake is a smaller version of the same.
Scale Ice
Scale ice is available on the Hoshizaki TM500 machine. This ice is very dry and dense - making it ideal for seafood storage and display.

Volumes of Ice The quantaties of ice that we list for each machine are Hoshizaki's stated volumes based on air and water temperature both being 10 degrees Celcius.
Changes to air and water temperature will effect the production of ice, as will any changes in water pressure from the mains.
Please also check with us the maxiumum quantities for any machines that produce ice sizes that are different from the standard size listed.
In our experience, Hoshizaki ice machines are better equipped to cope with a variety of environmental conditions that most other brands - which is why they are favoured by so many professional bar owners, hotelliers and fishmongers.
We are happy to answer any of your questions - so please do ask.

The Hoshizaki IM range The IM range of ice machines all make cubed shape ice (with various sizes available). They are divided into two main groups - integral and modular.
Integral machines make and store the ice in one unit. These are ideal for small to meduim sized operations.
Integral machines are Hoshizaki IM21CLE; IM30CLE, IM45LE, and Hoshizaki IM45CLE, IM65LE, IM100LE,IM100CLE, IM130ME, IM240M2E. Note that older models are known as Hoshizaki IM-21CLE; IM30-CLE, IM-45LE, IM45-CLE, IM-65LE, IM-100LE, IM-100CLE IM-130ME, IM-240M2E.
Modular machines are large ice production units for large operations. They do not come with an ice bin as there are a number of bin sizes that you can select. Unlike other suppliers, you will find that we list all the bins available with each machine - and display the combined price.
Modular machines are the Hoshizaki IM240DME (previously the IM-240DME), and the IM240AME (IM-240AME).Both machines have options to enable more than one unit to be placed upon a range of the available ice bins.

The Hoshizaki KM range The KM machines all produce crescent shape ice. As with the IM range, they come in the form of integral or modular formats.
Crescent ice is popular in the USA - and increasingly so in the UK. As it's better than cubes at displacing liquid when placed in a cup to the same levels - it's seen as a good GP winner.
Integral machines include: The Hoshizaki KM35A, KM50A, KM75A.
Modular machines include: The Hoshizaki KM280MAH, KM500MAH, KM630MAH, KM1300SAH. As with the IM range, we indicate which bins are compatible, and what the combined prices are. |

Ice Crushers Hoshizaki have identified that the Wessamat C103 and C105 ice crushers. are the best equiped machines to cope with the challenges of crusing Hoshizaki's famously solid ice cubes.
If you only use crushed ice occasionaly, these machines are both ideal as a back bar alternative to a flaked ice maker.
